Emmanuel is a Gospel preaching church serving the Mt. Vernon area, seeking to make disciples and make Christ known among the nations.

Bill was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. He came to know the Lord in his later teen years as a result of his dad’s faithful witness. He received a Bachelor of Pastoral Ministry from Davis College. After pastoring in the inner-city of Binghamton, NY for 8 years he moved to Alexandria in the summer of 2019 to do the pastoral internship at Del Ray. He has been married to Katie since 2011, and together have two children Juliana and Elijah. Bill enjoys hiking, reading, and watching sports. Bill has a burden to see Biblically faithful churches planted in under-resourced neighborhoods. Over the last few years he and Katie have felt a particular burden for the Mt. Vernon area and are excited to see a gospel centered church revitalized there.

Ben serves as a bivocational Pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the aim of coming on staff as soon as possible. Ben grew up in Lawrence, New Jersey. He came to know the Lord during Vacation Bible School as a young boy, and grew up with faithful, Christian parents.
Ben met his wife Marion in Washington, D.C. and together they have two children, Emily and Logan. Ben received a Masters from American University and a BA in Political Science and History from Loyola University in Baltimore. Recently, he finished a Masters of Theological Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Ben served as a lay pastor at a church in DC prior to completing the pastoral internship at Del Ray Baptist where he served as an elder. His family has ministered in diverse contexts before and are passionate to see the gospel transform Mt. Vernon.

Brie serves as the Church Secretary for Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was born in Philadelphia, PA. However, she spent most of her childhood in Virginia and has since made it her home. She found her calling in church administration after serving for many years on multiple ministries with administrative tasks at her own church. In 2009, Brie met her husband Osmin who is originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. They reside in Dale City and have one daughter, Aubrie. Brie’s favorite bible verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Brie comments, “this is my favorite verse because it reminds me that God understands and controls all things. He can use the circumstances that I don’t understand to display his power.”

Jimy is currently the pastoral apprentice at Emmanuel Baptist Church, under pastors Ben and Bill. Jimy was born in Lima, Peru and lived there until he was six, when he moved with his family to Alexandria, VA. The Lord used the faithful witness of Jimy's mother among other things to save him at 19, and has faithfully preserved him since. Jimy completed the pastoral internship at Del Ray Baptist Church in 2023, and began his current role at Emmanuel soon after.
Jimy aspires to serve as a pastor, and has a burden to see healthy churches established for the Spanish-speaking communities of Northern Virginia. He enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, working out and playing guitar and singing. He enjoys albums from Sovereign Grace Music, Matt Boswell and Matt Papa, KB, Timothy Brindle, J Monty, and others.
